If during your projectwork you do not at all stay at AMAIDI Guesthouse or a neighboring Homestay (and are thus unable to avail of some of our services), we will charge you only 50% (Rs. 5,750) per person.

| 2. The organization where you work (variable) |
Except AMAIDI's fee, your final bill might also show a so called 'organizational fee'. ASSIST, for example, charges Rs. 500 (EUR 9) per month for transportation to and from the project site; Rs. 1,000 (EUR 18,50) per month for your guidance; and another Rs. 1,000 (EUR 18,50) for administrative expenses on your behalf.
Regarding specific partner-based expenses, click here.

|
| 3. The organization where you stay (variable) |
If, for example, you happen to work at partner organization ASSIST, the cost of accommodation - that ASSIST will provide - is Rs 150 per day, inclusive of all meals. If you work at BLESS, you might stay for some time at AMAIDI Guesthouse, which costs Rs. 350 per night, incl. breakfast. And then go for Homestay (with an Indian family): Rs. 300 per night, incl. breakfast. Or use accommodation that Bless provides. Some project partners offer accommodation and meals free of charge, with some you will have to negotiate the price.
An example:
Mary works through AMAIDI for 4 weeks at BLESS in Cuddalore. The first week she stays at AMAIDI Guesthouse, the rest in Homestay in Cuddalore. This is how she brakes down her expenses:a one time AMAIDI Fee of Rs. 11,500; pay Rs. 2,450 for accommodation at AMAIDI Guesthouse & Rs. 6,300 for Homestay; pay Rs. 8,500 to BLESS for expenses made on her behalf (including personal guidance on the project site); Rs. 4,000 for transport between her home-address and the project site (vice versa); and adding Rs. 3,300 for lunch & dinner (as both AMAIDI Guesthouse and Homestay are 'bed & breakfast' arrangements). The total amount being Rs. 31,500. To convert this into your own currency, click here
If Mary would have worked and stayed at ASSIST (in Andhra Pradesh), she'd have to pay approximately Rs. 20,000, at AID india around Rs. 10,000, both inclusive of AMAIDI's service fee and the costs of transport to get to the organization's headoffice, some 8-10 hours travel away by train.
