| On Friday 20 Feb 2009, AMAIDI volunteers Sarah Rottiers, Raiane Claeys and Gwenn Rol handed over 15 fruit trees to a Government Higher Secondary School in Villupuram to offset their carbon footprint caused by the airplane they travelled with to India. The trees were mango-, sappota-, lemmon- and jack fruit. The function was witnessed bythe local municipal chairman. Next day a nice photograph of the treeplanting volunteers was printed in the municipal newspaper of Villupuram. |
