| Friday 13 Feb 2009, AMAIDI volunteers Marieke van Bergeijk, Inge Renckens, Evelien de Hoop en Rosanne Mulder handed over 20 fruit trees to members of a local women's Self Help Group in Thiruvannamalai to offset their carbon footprint caused by the airplane they travelled with to India. They were lemon-, coconut-, mango- and nellikai trees. The women of the local Self Help Group were very happy with this gift and promised the volunteers that they would take well care of the trees. |
